Five Minute Friday

Looking forward to a 4 day weekend starting tomorrow! Probably one of our last ‘fun’ weekends for a while as Jeffy gets back to work on the computer on the weekends again…Going to try to stuff a lot in these few days, but also need to finish the chicken coop..they are getting big enough to move out of their holding area now. 😀

Another full day today, have to wake up everyone and go, go, go…but thought I would get this posted quickly. 🙂

Ok, since today is Friday that means it is time for another Five Minute Friday! The word for today is: VIEW

GO

I remember it so clearly even though it was many years ago. Lavender dress that was made by my grandma, not sure what exactly was going on with my hair, saying goodbye to friends and celebrating with family. I was now done with 8th grade. I had no idea what was ahead of me, I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up…but I knew I was headed to high school.

Now that Ryan’s school year is coming to an end I realize that he too doesn’t know what is ahead of him…and he too doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up.  I realize that for that moment in time in each of our lives, our views will be so similar. He is heading to high school.  Sort of an unknown. There are so many directions that he could go…and I can’t wait to be a witness to whatever that may be…

STOP

Hello from your FMF neighbor this week! Those moments of promise and unknowns are so full of mixed emotions. This captures that so well. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for sharing this. I remember heading off to high school myself and being terrified, but I felt so “old” at the same time (I think it as using makeup…) even though I’m sure I looked so young to my mom.

My oldest daughter is turning 13 and going into 8th grade this coming year, and I feel mixed emotions about how she’s growing so fast, but she’s still my baby. I’m guessing you feel the same.

(And I think you are beautiful, so you should change your profile description and take “dork” out. It doesn’t fit you. 🙂

    Blessings to you!

Oh goodness…well, thank you! I use dork as in I tend to do all sorts of wacky things that make no sense…haha!!

Yes! I recall graduating from 8th grade so vividly. The uncertainty of going to high school…not knowing what I wanted to be…it was a crazy time!! I know you can understand with having a daughter around that age too..
