Five Minute Friday

Every now and again I participate in Five Minute Friday. It’s where you link up with other bloggers and basically…you just write for five minutes…on Friday! lol. You don’t really think about it, you don’t go back and fix things…you just start and stop five minutes later. Easy Peasy. Each week has a different theme, and this weeks theme is: Share.

 girl with cameraSTART:

When I first thought of the word Share, I thought of all the photos that I have shared in the past. I have shared some that I took of family members, some of clients and some of just random stuff. Lately, most of the photos I share are on Instagram for my picture of the day deali-o. I have been doing it for so long that it is just a habit. I love looking at the prompt of the day and thinking if I am going to be doing anything that will work for that word. I don’t ever do anything to make that word work, I just let the day go by and see what happens, all the while having the word of the day in the back of my mind.

One of the first things that I do in the morning is to check my Timehop account. Yes, I am on my iPad too much first thing in the morning, but still. With me doing my picture a day thing, my Timehop is full of pictures that I have posted over the years. I can reminisce random things that happened…it could be weird weather, our crazy animals or our kids being, well, kids. Maybe even one of Jeffy and I. 😉

What I share on social media really isn’t for you….it is for me. For our family. I don’t share things for likes, for approval, to say ‘hey, look at me’… I share so that I have evidence that we existed. Even if we stay at home for a week straight and all of my pictures are the same, there are slight differences that only I will know and remember.

So, if you happen to be following any of my social media..I am sharing with you a part of my life, a part of me.

STOP

I love the idea of starting your day looking back through those special moments! What a great way to start with the right perspective on what’s important. Visiting from FMF.

Yes, this is my purpose for blogging to. I want to remember what the ordinary moments of my life. Right now my house is noisy with children’s laughter. I know my children will grow up, and one day I will want to remember what life was like when they were 6, 4, and 3. I hope you have a lovely weekend.
