Five Minute Friday

I am getting this Five Minute Friday in late because we were out all day yesterday.. We went to the aquarium and the beach. It was a very full day. Too much eating also…ugh.  lol. I hope this entry makes sense…ha!

Today’s prompt is: Friend

Well, this is an interesting topic.  I have written about this a few times on here since moving across the country.

I have had quite the variety of friendships in my life. I love that I can still chat with friends that I had in 3rd grade and there isn’t anything uncomfortable about it at all.. Then, I have friends that I was super close with for years and then…woah..if we saw each other now it would be quite awkward. Weird how that happens..

There are so many types of friends..

You can have a best friend. Bestie. BFF. The one above all friends. Which of course, you can also have more than one. Confusing? A little… 😉

There are buddies. Those friends that you just kind of hang out with every now and again.. Quite possibly when your BFF (and every other BFF)  is busy?

Can’t forget frenemies.  It’s all about a love/hate relationship on this guy. You might be friends but there’s just something about them that…ARGH!!!  You know what I’m saying, right? I had a couple of those recently. It’s all good.. 😉

There are internet friends. When your friends live in your computer. I think a lot of us have these!  😀  I have been able to meet quite a few too!

You can even have an imaginary friend. Did you ever have one of these? I had an imaginary tv audience when I was little, but that is another story.

There are, of course, quite the variety of friendships that I haven’t listed here, but I wanted to keep this light today. I only have five minutes y’know!

I am so glad that I have been able to meet some people here. That really does make a difference. Moving across the country and not knowing anyone in your new state can be a tad bit frustrating.  I really lucked out in moving to a friendly state. I am telling you, every place we have visited here so far has been full of friendly people.  (Can’t help but smile at their accents too.)

Not sure if I will ever have a BFF that isn’t Jeffy, but I am totally fine with that. Having female BFF’s in the past wasn’t all it was cracked up to be anyway.  I can hang with my buddies and internet friends…and on those real lonely days, an imaginary friend or two. Maybe they were past audience members…you never know!  😀

God is so faithful to give us the exact types of friends we need in every season. Stopped over from the Five Minute Friday. Have a blessed week!

Moving can be so hard as adults. Especially when you don’t just make friends with your classmates anymore. Hope you adjust and establish your own little flow and support group in the new space. And happy for new friends through things like 5mf 🙂

The older I get the more difficult i find it to maintain a friendship.

I met my best friend through my blog a year and a half ago, she lives across the country —talk about difficult. I seriously wouldn’t recommend becoming best friends with anyone from across the country, distance is a nightmare. However my best friend makes up for the distance.

friends. it’s a never ending subject.

How fun that you met someone through your blog though!! I haven’t been doing it long enough, that would be fun! I totally understand the long distance relationship though, I met a few people in AZ before moving here and I hated leaving them…
