Monday, September 16: Write a public love letter to someone in your life.
Ok, this may be a little cheesy, but at this point, I couldn’t decide who else to write a love letter to. So, this is a love letter to myself.
There are times that you are the first to sell yourself short…point out your flaws…but you know what?
You are enough.
You are a special person. You may not think so, but it is true. People around you tell you so, a little bit here, a little bit there. They see it, you should too. Here are some great things about you.
You love to make people happy. It could be a stupid post on Facebook or a silly story told to a stranger at the store. It could be sending Jeffy to work with a bunch of goodies for his co-workers. Seeing other people smile makes your day worthwhile. And hey, you rhyme too!
You like to sing stupid made up songs. You can make up a song about just anything…housework, tomatoes, or Kleenex. It doesn’t matter. The sillier the better! Sometimes you sing just to let someone know what you are going to do next. And don’t forget about the leaping!
You love to read. And read, and read. Anything. Keep on reading! You can, and have, learned so much just by reading as much as you have. This is why some people ask you what certain things mean, or look at you funny when you use words that may not be popular. :nodding: But it’s all good!
You have realized what is important and have changed your life to reflect that. Make it to the next small group meeting, I am sure it will be great! Talk about what changes you can make with the family to make everything better than it is now.
You may worry that the last year of not exercising has caught up to you…but it will all work out. Those pounds will come off with a little dedication. But then again, you also realize that sometimes things happen….while grabbing that slice of pizza.
You also know what makes you happy in life, (no, not the pizza) and have surrounded yourself with as much of that as you can. Anything from the people that you keep around you, to where you are living, to a certain scentsy scent. Even something so simple as going upstairs early enough to watch a couple of shows with Jeffy. Keep on realizing what is important and keep changing your life to make it better.
You have taken on the extreme job of teaching the kids. Remember fractions and percents? You do now! You are doing great, and so are the kids!
If a person stays in your life, or goes, that shouldn’t change who you are. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel less than what you are. It’s their loss if they leave. Take what you have learned from them and apply it to your life in the right way.
You have eyes that are unique. Remember that time when you were young and wanted blue eyes? Pft…blue eyes have nothing on yours! You also have a great smile. It has changed some, but remember to keep using it, at least three times a day!
You doubt yourself too much, you should be your biggest cheerleader. You are still growing as a person, but don’t ever lose who you are.
You are enough. Heck with enough…
You are awesome…don’t ever forget it!
