      Old Salem is in NC. It is just part of Winston-Salem I think. It dates back so far, I am not used to that, coming from AZ! Salem College was there back in the 1700’s or so! They had a boys section where, starting at 12yo, boys would go and be an apprentice to someone else to learn a trade. They would do that until 20yo. Girls would do their own thing, learning housekeeping and such.
      Old Salem is set up to be like how it was back in those days. The buildings don’t have electricity, or very little if possible, there are artisans there doing things that they did back then. Making shoes, clothes, even cooking.
      And there is super yummy fudge that they sell too, lol. πŸ˜€
      It was our second time there and I would go back again!

      Thanks!! Last year when we went there it was so cold I didn’t take any photos. This year it was one of the warmest days and I hardly took any photos, but at least I took some, lol. That bridge is so fun! Never anything like that in AZ! πŸ™‚
