Recipe Clean Out: Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats

I haven’t posted a recipe from our recipe folder in a long time. If you don’t know what I am talking about, check out my recipe for Oreo fudge, it kind of explains it a bit.. 😉

This recipe didn’t have a title written at the top, but looking at the ingredients, I just assumed it was a sort of rice krispie treat..

I was pleasantly surprised! I have made these twice since I re-found the recipe, lol.

Salted Caramel Rice Krispie Treats –  they look amazing, right? They taste even better, lol.

Salted Caramel Rice Krispie TreatsIngredients
5 TBSP salted butter
9 cups mini marshmallows
4 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
4 1/2 cups Cocoa Krispies
One 8oz bag of rolo mini’s cut in half
1/4 cup salted caramel ice cream topping – you could use plain caramel sauce if you’d like
1/4 tsp salt

Grease a 9×13 dish. You can line with foil if you’d prefer, but I just use a glass dish. If you use foil, make sure you grease that too!
Melt butter.
Add marshmallows until melted.
Mix up the cereals in a large bowl.
Add caramel sauce and salt to melted marshmallows, stir well.
Pour the cereal in and mix well.
Add in candy and stir again.
Put in your 9×13 dish and lightly salt the top. I use pink Himalayan salt in the grinder…

That’s it! Then, just cut out the size square that you like…and eat! Yummm!!!
