Looking for Lovely {Review}

So, there is this book. And this book is lovely. Which is fitting because the book is called Looking for Lovely. 🙂 It is written by Annie F. Downs who is just a favorite of the way she writes. I think because I have seen so many videos of her talking that I can kind of read it in her voice? Do you do that? Or am I just weird…lol. I mean, I just noticed this about a friend in our homeschool group. She has such a distinctive way that she talks that anytime I see a facebook update or something, I can totally read it in her voice… Anyway.. ha!

Looking for LovelyI was sent an advance copy of this book from Annie…what?? I know, right? I am so glad that I was able to read it and take my time. You know, it is in stores today…and if I would have went to the store today to get it..I would have wanted to read the whole thing in one sitting. No no no…you just can’t do that. You have to savor it! Sit down with a coffee or wine or root beer or lemonade, or just grab some chocolate and call it good.. Sit down with something and just read a little bit. Not too much though, because you need to take what you read in.

There is just enough personal stories mixed in with the ‘good stuff’ that make this book a great read. 🙂 She writes about her personal trip of finding the lovely. You can see how this whole book shows her evolving bit by bit. Recurring characters help tie in the various stories that make you laugh, cry or just let out a big ‘ol sigh.

If you are going through things, any sort of things, think about reading this book. It goes on sale today! And I am not saying that because I got this (signed and with confetti included !!!) book from Annie. I am saying that because it is a good read. And I am sure it will be good for you. 🙂

    OK – so first off… yes! Yes I hear Annie reading to me when I read her books. That’s totally normal, I’m pretty sure. Secondly – your eyes are gorgeous… and I say that in the most non-creepy way! Thirdly – THAT COFFEE CUP!!!!?!! And last – but not least – of all… So much amen for reading Looking for Lovely slowly… and then stretching a bit (literally, spiritually, metaphorically…) and then diving in again! It’s that good!

      Aww, thanks for commenting! The book came to me at a perfect time and I am hoping that everyone else read(s) it at a perfect time for them as well.. 🙂 We got a matching mug set, my husband and I, from his mom, she got them at American Eagle Outfitters of all places, lol. Not too many people see my eyes anymore as I am told to wear sunglasses anytime I go out, so thanks for the comment! I used to want blue eyes forever, but then realized how rare my eye color actually is and I love them now! 🙂

    Hello, fellow launcher! Just dropping by to say hello, and spread the bloggy love. 😉

    I agree with all the things Karrilee commented above, ESPECIALLY the part about the donut mug. Where did you find such a *lovely* thing?! I love it!

      Hi! Thank you so much! 🙂 The donut mug was a gift from my mother in law, but I think she picked it up at American Eagle Outfitters of all places, lol.
